Economic Development Commission

Driving Economic Vitality

The Economic Development Commission serves as a key advisory group to the Santa Maria Valley Chamber, providing critical guidance to ensure the region's business community remains competitive and resilient. By closely monitoring key economic indicators and tracking regional commercial activity, the group helps identify emerging opportunities for growth, highlights systemic barriers to local commerce, and recommends priority initiatives for the Chamber to pursue on behalf of the valley.

The Economic Development Commission meets quarterly. To maintain a high level of specialized insight, participation on the Commission is by invitation only. Members are appointed directly by Chamber staff, are evaluated on an annual basis, and include representatives from vital public agencies, key regional economic development partners, and core local industries.
