State of the City

The State of the City is an annual briefing where local government and the business community converge to discuss the progress and future of Santa Maria. By promoting transparency and honest dialogue, this event keeps residents and business owners informed about municipal projects, public safety, and economic development. We believe that an informed public is the foundation of a resilient region, and this gathering ensures we are all working together to foster a thriving, connected community.

The 2026 State of the City will be held October 13th at Allan Hancock College. Stay tuned for additional information and event registration!
